From our early days back in 2019, our mission at Leaf & Vine has always been to spread the love of plants throughout our community.
Our intention is for everyone to feel welcome and find a plant that resonates with them. So whether you are a new plant parent or a more seasoned plant hobbyist/collector, we’ve got you covered. From traditional and starter houseplants to uncommon and rare species, we have the tools and information to help you incorporate them into your home.

Meet The Team
Founder & CEO
Maria Isabel Alvarez
Maria's love of nature and her need to share it with others is what brought Leaf & Vine into existence in 2019. From being raised in Venezuela + Florida, to working in both horticulture and vegetation management, her passions have always centered around plants and the community of people around them because well, #plantsmakepeoplehappy
Favorite plant at the moment: Plants with prominent leaf venations! (i.e: Philodendron gloriosum)
Operations Supervisor
Clay Powell
Clay is Maria's right hand man, and partner in real life! He oversees operations, is our resident handyman, and puts up a mean (as in good) conversation! He really enjoys carnivorous plants and aroids, and when not working, you can probably find him skimboarding!
Favorite plant at the moment: Maria (she is my fiancé and might as well also be a plant)!
Store Manager
Joseph (Joe) Covey
Joe is our super rad store manager! He cares for our plants, shop, and customers. He is a wealth of knowledge, and enthusiasm, and works with all the new products/plants for you all to enjoy! In addition to being plant-obsessed, he is a photographer and cookie lover.
Favorite plant at the moment: "If I had to choose a favorite plant it would be a tie between the Monstera Obliqua peru and the Euphorbia zig zag!"
